Every Little Bit Helps—Do Your Part!
![]() |
Saving the world is no small task—but like Judy Moody, the Book Boys learn that doing your part can make a big difference!
After reading the Book of the Week, Judy Moody Saves the World!, written by Megan McDonald and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds, Allister, Elliott, and Max are inspired to reduce, reuse, and recycle in an original, class-friendly song.
Give your students a brain break! Play this music video between lessons or after recess to get them excited to whip the planet into shape with Judy Moody.
We Suggest:
1. Share the cover of Judy Moody Saves the World! with your students. Encourage them to make predictions about the book. How will Judy Moody save the world?
2. Begin reading Judy Moody Saves the World! as a read-aloud or in small groups.
3. Play the Book Boys music video for your class.
4. After watching the video, have a discussion with your students about what it means to reduce, reuse, and recycle and other ways that they can help the environment.
If you’re able, please share your students’ environmental tips with the Scholastic Book Clubs community on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #ScholasticBookClubs.

Each week, you can watch the Book Boys perform a fun, educational, and engaging song and Brain Break activity to help students connect with the Book of the Week. Play the Book Boys videos in your classroom (or at home) and explore the exciting world of reading.
