Who doesn’t love summertime fun? And with the right books, there’s nothing better than summer reading!
In this video, the Books Boys share their excitement as they talk about their plans for the sunshine season. Max, Elliott, and Allister explore where they plan on reading this summer, and decide to challenge themselves to read a book a week. They also highlight the many benefits that come with reading while school is out, including:
• Maintaining reading and writing skills
• Improving memory
• Challenging ourselves to set goals and reach them
What are some things you do to help get your students excited about summer reading? We’d love to hear from you! Please share with the Scholastic Book Clubs community on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #ScholasticBookClubs.
Allister, Elliott, and Max are three friends who work at Scholastic Book Clubs and love books—and they want to share the joy of reading with your students! Every week, you can find the Book Boys here on the Scholastic Book Clubs blog in a brand-new fun, educational, and engaging video about the Book of the Week. Play their videos in your classroom (or at home) to help your students connect to the story and explore the exciting world of reading.
