No matter who we are, where we come from, what we look like, or what we dream of becoming, we could all use the reminder that “I am enough.”
This week, the Book Boys read the empowering and uplifting picture book I Am Enough by Grace Byers, illustrated by Keturah A. Bobo, and they immediately knew they had something important on their hands. So the guys called up their friends the Book Girls to help perform a special read-aloud of I Am Enough for kids everywhere.
Play the video for your class and read along with Chasity, Rosalie, and Francheilys in their reenactment of I Am Enough. It’s a fun way to enliven students’ moods and their self-confidence. It may even inspire your students to perform a read-aloud of the book themselves!
What did your students think of I Am Enough and its inspiring message? We’d love to hear from you! If you’re able, please share with us and other Scholastic Book Clubs teachers on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #ScholasticBookClubs.

The Book Boys work in different departments at Scholastic Book Clubs. They formed a group to share a wide range of books and introduce students to the world of reading. Each week, the Book Boys select a book to feature. They make stories come alive by creating fun, educational, and engaging videos for teachers and families to use in the classroom or at home. The Book Boys, like everyone at Scholastic Book Clubs, want all kids to love to read and be proud to declare: “I am a reader!”
