The Book Boys Hope They Can Help Introduce You to Hope!
by Traci Swain
From their own separate clubhouses, the Book Boys and a few of their friends discuss Project Middle School, the first book in the Hope series by Alyssa Milano. They each take turns sharing their thoughts, personal connections, and favorite parts of the book.
By watching this video, your students will hear kids’ real perspectives on what they loved about Project Middle School, including:
• Science projects—Hope wants to be an astrophysicist someday
• Inspiring comics—Galaxy Girl, Hope’s favorite comic, will encourage readers to “Be Your Brightest Star”
• Standing up for what’s right—Hope isn’t afraid to speak her mind!
The Book Boys and their friends hope they can convince you that Project Middle School is a terrific read to add to your home or classroom library!

These three guys from different departments at Scholastic Book Clubs formed a book group. Each week, they choose a new book to read together. Then they meet (virtually for now), discuss, and create fun and entertaining videos to help kids discover—and relate to—titles offered by Scholastic Book Clubs.
While the Book Boys come from diverse backgrounds and were definitely different growing up, they all have one thing in common: they really want to get kids excited about books and reading.
