The Biggest, Best, Most Exciting Adjectives!
by Alana Pedalino
Encourage your students to practice adjectives with this fun and simple describe-and-color activity inspired by The Story of Clifford.
Clifford is the biggest, reddest dog on the block!
After reading The Story of Clifford with your class, encourage students to practice using adjectives by choosing two unique words to describe Clifford. Ask them to think about the way Clifford appears and acts in the text—for example, we think he’s pretty “friendly,” “outgoing,” and “happy”!
Then your students can draw and color Clifford with this free downloadable worksheet.
What adjectives did your students come up with for Clifford? We’d love to see! Share your class’s adjectives for Clifford with us on social media using the hashtag #ScholasticBookClubs to join us in celebrating 100 years of Scholastic.
