The Book Boys Practice Their Manners!
by Traci Swain
Inspired by the considerate animals in Do Unto Otters: A Book About Manners by Laurie Keller, the Book Boys host their own game show about the importance of being kind to others! Play this video in your classroom to start a conversation about why we should all be polite.
On your mark, get set, go!
Like Mr. Rabbit, Owl, and the otters, the Book Boys remind students how important it is to use good manners with a Family Feud–inspired game show: Fluffy Feud! As Elliott and Max compete to answer some zany questions from Allister, they quickly learn just how easy it is to be kind.
This video is a great way to:
• Get students excited to read Laurie Keller’s picture book, Do Unto Otters: A Book About Manners
• Launch a conversation about what it means to be polite
• Start class off with some laughs, so be sure to play it in your classroom

These three guys from different departments at Scholastic Book Clubs formed a book group. Each week, they choose a new book to read together. Then they meet, discuss, and create fun and entertaining videos to help kids discover titles offered by Scholastic Book Clubs.
While the Book Boys come from diverse backgrounds and were definitely different growing up, they all have one thing in common: they really want to get kids excited about books and reading.
