Motivated by Jerry Pallotta’s The Icky Bug Alphabet Book, the Book Boys head outside and embark on a scientific mission to discover all kinds of fun and exciting critters. Play their book video in your classroom and introduce your kiddos to the fun of learning the alphabet with butterflies, beetles, and other colorful creepy-crawlies.
Also, this week is bittersweet for us at the blog: Book Boy Jamie has been the bee’s knees over the past few years—and it’s time he has some brand-new adventure of his own! See his special message to all young viewers in the video above. We wish him the best future filled with great books, wonderful friends, and plenty of laughs.
These five guys, who work in different departments at Scholastic Book Clubs, formed a book group. Each week, they choose a new book to read together. Then they meet, discuss, and create fun and entertaining videos to help kids discover titles offered by Scholastic Book Clubs.
While the Book Boys come from diverse backgrounds and were definitely different growing up, they all have one thing in common: they really want to keep kids excited about books and reading.
