The Book Boys’ Big Invention
by Kristin Rocha
Book Boy Max is not the quickest of readers, yet he loves reading and has always wished for a way to read more books faster! After encountering What Does It Mean to Be an Entrepreneur? by Rana DiOrio and Emma Dryden, Max was motivated to invent something to help himself. Watch him introduce the Book Boys to the Readmatic 3000, discuss entrepreneurship, and use this thoughtful book to inspire his fellow Book Boys—and your students!—to have the courage to imagine.
Meet the Book Boys: Jamie, Max, Allister, Mike, and Elliott!
These five guys, who work in different departments at Scholastic Reading Club, formed a book group. Each week, they choose a new book to read together. Then they meet, discuss, and create fun and entertaining videos to help kids discover titles offered by Scholastic Reading Club.
While the Book Boys come from diverse backgrounds and were definitely different growing up, they all have one thing in common: they really want to keep kids excited about books and reading.
